Confirming his death, the Director of Corps Welfare and Inspectorate, Mr Michael Ahile, described Ogboji as “an exceptional corps member who was fully dedicated to his duties and in the process paid the supreme sacrifice”, and said he will be missed by the NYSC family.

Also, the NYSC DG advised corps members serving in hospitals and other health institutions to always apply ‘standard precautionary measures while discharging their duties’.

NEWS:See The 7 Buhari Ministers That Are Doing Absolutely Nothing

President Muhammadu Buhari had on 11th November, 2015 assigned portfolios to 36 ministers who are expected to implement his ‘change’ agenda.

Presiding at the swearing in ceremony of the new ministers, Buhari said that the assigning of portfolios was done to put square pegs in square holes, adding that members of his team were carefully chosen and assigned portfolios to reflect their capacities.

More than 3 months after the ministers were assigned portfolios, some have refused to come out of t
heir shell.

Top sources within some ministries have posited that most of Buhari’s ministers are technically unfit for some of the ministries they were posted to, and have continued to make blunders and have become stumbling blocks to the administrations ‘change’ agenda.

Post-Nigeria gathered that President Buhari is said to be under intense pressure from some ‘powerful’ forces, including his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, to “undertake a cleansing of the Federal Executive Council, FEC.”

As part of the impending restructuring, the following ministers have been seen to be doing nothing and many have recommended for their immediate disengagement before they lead the Buhari administration astray.

1. Geoffrey Onyeama – Minister of foreign affairs

Many had hoped that he would wield in his international expertise into Buhari’s agenda, however, more than 3 months after his appointment as the minister of foreign affairs, Nigeria as the giant of Africa still does not have a focused foreign policy agenda.

The failure to manage Buhari’s public and international perception has been traced to the lack of a foreign policy agenda.

If a nation’s foreign policy is understood as the expression of its national interests vis-à-vis other countries, it follows that foreign policy decisions need to be made and expressed and should not be left only with the so called Buhari’s ‘body language’.

2. Aisha Alhassan – Minister of women affairs

“Mama Taraba” was reported to have told the grieving chibok parents that they were not invited, during their visit to the villa. She was also reported to have told them that, the girls were not kidnapped under the current government, “so why are you harassing us?” As if the diatribe was not enough, Minister Alhassan reminded them: “You wanted schools, you wanted hospitals, you wanted this and that… you wanted so many things.”

As a minister of women affairs, many had expected that she would have been at the fore front of the chibok agenda. She has no doubt failed to carry the women folks along. Hence, there is an urgent need to find a suitable replacement.

3. Kayode Fayemi – Minister of solid minerals

The former governor of Ekiti state shocked many when he was assigned his portfolio as he was reported to have said that he would need time to learn in his ministry. An admission that nothing much should be expected from him as he did not envisage he would be posted to the ministry of solid minerals.

More than 3 months after he was assigned the portfolio, the former governor is yet to convince Nigerians that he is the right man for the job.

4. Lai Mohammed – Minister of Information and culture

He is a specialist in image laundering; he has refused to move on from the days of political campaigns. His public statements have done nothing, but dent the public image of the Buhari administration. He speaks on every issue, even though he does not have the right information, he would always speak.

He has continued to blame the previous government for the failures of the Buhari administration. He once said the 2016 budget was not padded, whereas the President admitted that his budget was padded. Many believe the former spokesperson of the APC would be more productive if he returns as the spokesperson of his party.

The current state of the economy is enough for the minister of finance to resign her position. The confusion within the economy especially on policy statements has been attributed to her inability to steer the ship of the Nigerian economy.

More than 3 months after she was handed the portfolio as the minister of finance, many Nigerians have become worst of, as poverty and hardship are now the order of the day.

5. Adebayo Shittu – Minister of Communications

The controversy surrounding the MTN fine has exposed the lack of managerial qualities of the Minister of Communications.

The hullabaloo trailing the role of the Ministry in the out-of-court settlement by MTN Nigeria, and its payment of N50 billion to the Federal Government still remains unaddressed. It is worthy to note that the telecommunications regulatory organ, the Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC, has been shielded away from the settlement process.

What other reason do we need to convince us that the minister of communications seems to be finding it difficult with his current portfolio.

6. Muhammadu Buhari – Minister of Petroleum Resources

He has been tagged the junketer-in-chief for his frequent foreign trips, which are still yet to yield benefits to many Nigerians. Many have forgotten that he is the current minister of petroleum resources and hence should be held responsible for the frequent fuel scarcity in the country.

The best decision Buhari must make is for him to relinquish his position as a minister, because his effect has not been felt, more than three months after.

7. Kemi Adeosun – Minister of finance

Inspiring!! From Prison Inmate to PhD Student! It Is Possible To Overcome Mistakes From Your past!

What degrees have you completed and/or pursuing?
I have a bachelors degree in social work from Columbia College in Columbia, MO (graduated with a 3.72 GPA and Cum Laude). I also have a masters degree in social work with an emphasis in policy, planning, and administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In the spring of 2012, I was enrolled in the Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis PhD program at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  I was not able to continue in the program due to emotional and financial stressors but hope to resume my studies very soon.

What life circumstances or obstacles have you overcome to get to the point of where you are?
I was born into poverty. My mother raised my three siblings and me in public housing and on government assistance. I know what it is like to go to the store and spend food stamps, to receive utilities assistance, eat government cheese, and to have the utilities cut off in the middle of the winter. My oldest brother was murdered in 1991, my sister has been in and out of prison due to drug addiction, and my younger brother is scheduled to be released from prison this month. In the fall of 1989, I actually attended Lincoln University (MO) after the birth of my eldest daughter the month before. I did well academically but when I returned home in December, I was told that we would not be able to celebrate Christmas unless I did something with the $80 my mother had left of all of our family resources. As a result, I attempted to sell crack cocaine that I bought from a neighbor to earn extra money so my family could have a Christmas, but was caught that night. I was sentenced to probation because I had attended college.
I moved to Oklahoma and attended Northeastern Oklahoma State University. After a successful academic year, I moved to Tulsa, OK to be with the mother of my second daughter. A couple of years later, we broke up and I began a downward spiral of packing a pistol, partying in clubs, drinking, and living the fast life.  In June of 1994, a friend approached me about robbing a restaurant that he used to work . He said it would be simple for us to run in, grab the moneybag, and run out. We were caught and I was sentenced to 12 years in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. It was while I was incarcerated that I realized that I was different and that God had something special for me to do. I spent 5 years 3 months in the Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections and then was sent to the State of Missouri to serve my revoked probation. Once in Missouri, I served an additional 6 months and was released on parole.
The current obstacle that I am struggling to overcome is the obstacle of discrimination against convicted felons. I understand and accept that there are some felonies that are not as easy to forgive and move forward from, but after 24 years since my first arrest and 19 years since my second, I would think that I have paid my debt to society. I have been a mentor to at risk youth, spoken to inmates in jail about turning their lives around, served on the local United Way Board of Directors, and created an award winning Black men’s initiative program at the University of Missouri that provided leadership development, academic and personal support, and community service opportunities for its members.
What is your motivation for achieving?
My motivation for achieving is to be a role model to my children and young people everywhere; especially for young black males raised in less than ideal environments like I was raised. That is no slight on my mother, public housing, or anything like that.  As Tupac says, “she was only working with the scraps she was given and momma made miracles every Thanksgiving.” I also think that it is important for people to see that it is possible to overcome mistakes from their past. The truth is that if people do not feel that it is possible, they would have very little motivation to turn their lives around. Unfortunately, it becomes sort of a “one (mistake) and done type of deal.”
What do you plan to do with your degree?
I want to be an educational administrator but also serve as a national consultant and public speaker on the issues of Black males, Black masculinity, and leadership among young Blacks. I hope to inspire young Black males to never let the streets, society, parents, teachers, friends, family, or anyone steal their dreams away from them. I will work to help educate the dominate society about the issues faced by Black males and to offer a peek inside of the mind of life experiences of many Black males.
Anything else you would like for me to consider?
I would ask that you consider the fact that I am one of a few people that have ever been incarcerated that are attempting a PhD. With the fact that less than 5 percent of the American population has a PhD, I ask you how many people within that population really did “start at the bottom and now they’re here?”
This is the incredible story of Nathan Stephens!

Lol, So Wizkid hasn’t been peforming his daddy duties as he ought to.

Yesterday night, His First baby mama, Sola Ogudugu took to twitter to express her anger over what appears to be Wizkid’s irresponsibility.

Apparently, she stated that she was tired of remaining silent and lying to the world about how she was really being treated.

In one of her tweets, it read: “I am sick and tired of keeping my mouth shut; covering the idiot’s irresponsibility and still get tons of insults from the same idiot.”

However, after a while Sola decided to keep it all together and deleted the tweets.
