Some aggrieved parents are currently on a peaceful demonstration in front of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, over the cut-off mark placed by the university for those seeking to gain admission into its academic programmes.
Information gathered shows that most of the parents, during the protest vented their grievance on the school’s refusal to accept JAMB’s approved cut-off mark of 180 and imposing its own cut-off mark of 250 on the aspiring students.
From the placards carried, some of the parents insisted that the 250 mark was unacceptable, as it will disqualify their children from participating in the post-UTME screening that would determine their admission into UNILAG.
